I find it hard to undo what my heart has done.
Seeing you with a lens of warmth,
I remember how wondrous everything had just begun.
Watching another version of myself become.
Witnessing shades of you that are layered,
To me, each one of them is treasured.
Keeping you within the geography of memory,
I am cherishing every thought of beholding.
The moments of an ardent kinship
Are all that I am holding.
The past holds the power of not go in vain.
Yet, I clench my fist to preserve it in my hands.
Here I am uttering the silent confessions.
And you, listening to it all, for it is sacred.
