A Ruby, Once Yours

The jewel you had was a ruby. Its expensiveness and fine edges were breathtaking and jaw-dropping.. Its rarity and quiet brilliance made it magnificent.  Marble and river gravels, where the ruby was found, kept it for long, endured its redness, and saved it from damage. Yet, the one who found it damaged it to the core and lost it.  The jewel was a vibrant red colour, not like zircon, found and afforded by everyone.  You lost the gem. ~Zara M.
